Founder & Principal Consultant, Scale Consulting

The paradox I keep seeing in mid-market companies

The problems are enterprise-scale: competitive pressure, operational complexity, customers whose expectations keep growing. However, organizational resources are not keeping up. For most mid-market leaders, the analytical capability, process automation, and decision intelligence that used to require a Fortune 500 infrastructure were simply out of reach.

AI is changing that — faster than any technology in history. For the first time, a mid-market company willing to deploy AI well can match the analytical depth of organizations ten times its size. The playing field is leveling. The companies building their AI foundation now are the ones that will set the standard everyone else chases.

My background

Armed with a BS in Civil Engineering I started my career with Lockheed Martin — which trained me to think in systems. To design for real-world load. To find failure points before they emerge and build things meant to last. That instinct never left me.

Then came twenty years at Dell Technologies.

I led sales and marketing organizations across two regions: North America (Austin, Texas) and EMEA (Dublin, Ireland, and Montpellier, France) — driving technology adoption, managing cross-functional teams, and working directly alongside customers through transformations that changed what their organizations could do. Our teams grew annual pipeline to $6.6 billion. My success came from quality teams and quality systems. Understanding how rigor and dedication to quality delivery have become fundamental to my approach.

While working with customers from SMBs up through global 500, I saw what worked. I also saw what didn't — when businesses stagnated, when teams were left behind, when technology was deployed but never adopted, when strategy stalled at the leadership level because nobody had built the bridge to execution.

After returning to Texas, I acquired an MBA in Strategic Management which added the market lens: competitive positioning, resource allocation, and the discipline to make clear decisions when the ground is moving.

Those twenty years gave me something no training can offer: the operational depth to hold the big picture and the structural detail to execute at the same time.

Why Scale Consulting exists

The lessons I learned at Dell and Lockheed Martin shouldn't be locked inside enterprise organizations. I founded Scale Consulting to help mid-market leaders get in, get oriented, and keep pace.

Mid-market CEOs deserve the same quality of thinking that Fortune 500 boards commission —delivered at the speed and scale their business actually runs. Not a one-time engagement. A navigator for a landscape that doesn't hold still.

Scale Consulting is that navigator. I work with a small number of leaders at a time because the work requires genuine presence, not a methodology handed to a junior team.

Who I work with

My clients are mid-market CEOs, COOs, and division presidents who already understand that the status quo is insufficient. The clients who have the greatest success are those who lean into innovation — and need a partner who can move at their pace, think at their level, and deliver something that actually works.

If that describes where you are, let's connect.
